SaleTag: Auto Sale Tags

SaleTag watches Shopify product pricing and uses product tags to identify products that are currently on sale, without creating discounts, editing prices, or modifying themes.

  • Sale product tags
  • Compare-at price rule
  • No discounts
  • No theme edits

Problem statement

Sale collections, sale filters, and internal merchandising workflows often depend on product tags. Manually keeping those tags in sync with compare-at pricing is easy to forget.

SaleTag keeps the rule simple: when at least one variant has a price lower than compare-at price, the sale tag can be applied. When that is no longer true, the tag can be removed.
